On 7 April The Giving the Serena in the collaboration agreement with the Guadiana River Basin "Guadiana River that unites us" organized a ornithological route walker with a length of 4.5 km away from Quintana de la Serena to the archaeological site of Cancho Tartessian Roan, with schools in Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion de la Serena Malpartida With students of 1 to 6 with total 31 primary teachers and 4 for CP Immaculate Conception Higuera de La Serena. With students in grades 5 and 6 primary school and three teachers with 20alumnos.
This activity served to complement the environmental education activities conducted in schools themselves. The activities carried out during the route:
· 4 Identification of ecotopes in the area.
· floral species Identification Zone
· animal species identification area
· Tour the archaeological site of Cancho Roano Tartessian
Route ran through the municipalities of Quintana de La Serena La Serena Zalamea by a large area meadows alternating areas of livestock and crop harvesting and the consequent difference. Also part of the route ran along the banks of the stream Cagancha showing this part features, flora and fauna of wetlands. This route is therefore visit two of the ecotopes of Serena pastures and wetlands. The culmination of the route we made a tour of the archaeological site vistit Cancho Tartessian Roan for his great relationship with nature and the water environment. The interpretation of the deposit was made by the cultural manager of the Commonwealth of La Serena explanations of the site by both its historical and cultural importance.
Along the route were made explanations on the landscape, ethnography, flora and fauna of the region. Also made regular stops for bird watching with the telescope and binoculars that are available to some species that were observed were:
· As fauna : short-toed eagle ( Circaetus gallicus), Hoopoe (Upupa epops ), shrike (Lanius excubitor ) codorniz ( Coturnix coturnix ), cuco ( Cuculus canorus ), carraca ( Coracias garrulus ), colirrojo tizón ( Phoenicurus ochruros ), milano negro ( Milvus migrans ), milano real ( Milvus milvus ), oropéndola ( Oriolus oriolus ), petirrojo ( Erithacus rubecula ), tórtola común ( Streptopelia turtur ), paloma torcaz ( Columba palumbus ), rabilargo ( Cyanopica cyana ), Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris ).
· Regarding flora: oak (Quercus ilex), cork oak (Quercus suber), Acebuche (Olea europaea ), Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus camaldulensis ), yellow broom (Retama sphaerocarpa ) Broom (Cytisus scoparius ), lavender (Lavandula stoechas ), Thyme (Thymus vulgaris ), Asparagus white ( Asparagus albus ) Oleander (Nerium oleander ) , Tamujoso ( Securinega tinctoria) and Atarfe ( Securinega tinctoria)
Throughout the route we had the environmental training , given by:

· Technique healthy cities of the Commonwealth of the Serena
· Environment Technical Center Manager interpretation of the SPA Peripheral La Serena y Sierras.
